My new phone came a few days ago. Yesterday I finished programming it and adding photos… for some reason the old memory card deleted a bunch of things, but kept some things??!?!?! You all heard how we accidentally ran the first one over with the car. And it STILL WORKED!!! But the screen was destroyed, so I shelled out for insurance deductible and got a new one.

Anyway, this morning I drove my hubby to work and when I got home I couldn’t find my phone anywhere. I distinctly remember putting it in the zipper pouch in my purse right? WRONG!

I looked EVERYWHERE! Finally I called my hubby to ask him to go look back in the parking lot. Not because I thought it was there…But it’s the only freaking place I haven’t looked.

I bet you can tell where this is going.

And there he found my run over phone. It lost its case this time. Can you believe it? There it was under a van. What are the chances. I NEVER NEVER NEVER was the type to carry my phone out of my bag. My iPhone was never dropped , lost, hurt NOTHING. Since I got the new Droid I have tried to be really careful AND always put it in the zipper pouch. I have no idea how I dropped it while getting out of my car AGAIN and didn’t notice AGAIN!!!

This is God’s way of telling me I was meant to own an iPhone and NOT a Droid.

This sucks! Although, my hubby says it looks like it still works. I should just say fuck it and stop talking on the phone. You can all snail mail me the old fashioned way!

How random is this? A random blog that I read on the internet had a pretty nice looking new blog makeover. And I thought. Oh that’s kinda cool, I like the background wallpaper.

It was nice, but you could also tell sort of amateur. I mean, it looked like a revamped premade. Like my blog looks right now. HAHA.. But you know what I mean.

Anyway, I innocently take a look at the link in the footer, because I was just curious if it was free theme or something, and it takes me to a “webdesigner” page where she purchased the theme.

Lo and behold I see my digital scrap booking kit being used as the basis for one of the other designs in the portfolio. Just cut and pasted right into the design elements. Shamless. And it sells for $9.99 are you kidding me!!!?!?!?!

I also see that there are MANY more digital scrapbooking kits (NON COMMERCIAL USE ONLY) from around the web in use also. Since I am a digital scrapbooking freebie whore, I recognized them all. AND I have all the TOU files too, so I kindly notified all my fellow designers of the thievery.

The site came down by the very next day!!

Probably because all the real designers that make a living with stores, have lawyers or what not.. and resources to put the fear of death in whomever was running the site. (They were extremely vague on details with no names or contact other than the site)

How many people downloaded the Wordpress theme made from my kit I wonder? How much money did this scoundrel make off me and the other designers? AND why didn’t I think of that?!?!?

I’ll have to see about setting up a paypal account or something. Maybe I’ll offer a few original premades to make some money on the side. Who knows?

Just thought it was strange. My kit hasn’t even been downloaded that many times. So it’s weird. I don’t have a store or any promotions or anything either.. so I wonder how they found it. Hummm. What a mystery.

Just relaxing and watching the Cavs. We are anxiously awaiting the playoffs so we can watch all the games.

We walked down to Busy Bee this morning for breakfast. The full stack of pancakes were huge, but delicious. The hubby got French toast which he said was pretty good. Its a nice little place, I’m thinking we are going to make it a Sunday morning tradition.

Not much else going on. Small town pretty much shuts down on Sunday’s with just a few places open. I am hoping to get some more digital scrapbooking in today and update my phone. My insurance claim went through and I got my new phone HOORAY! No more cracked screen.

My hubby and I went to see the movie Avatar tonight. I have been wanting to see it for so long and it’s finally at our theater. The theater out here is small. It only plays one movie and has two Saturday show times. But it’s a pretty nice theater considering…

The movie was pretty great. We both agreed that it was the best movie we have seen in a long time. I really enjoyed the action scenes and music. I really wish we were able to see it in 3D. I know that would be really cool. Who knows, Maybe someday when we get a new TV it can be 3D. I know they are really expensive right now… but we’ve waited this long for a flat screen, whats a little longer to get the newest coolest fad.

Check out my first attempt to Avatar myself. It’s a little rough around the edges, I guess I should have taken more time to really experiment and make it cool. I’ll probably try again, because I know it could be so much better.

What the hell is wrong with my footer.. It loads in the header. Most of the time it makes it to the correct spot, but sometimes, It just hovers behind the header. So freaking annoying.

And I don’t know how to fix it.

I could spend all day googling various phrases and checking out a bunch of forums for answers… but it’s hopeless. SIGH

I am thinking about purchasing a membership to Elegant Themes, just so I can download the On The Go theme. Isn’t it just awesome??!?!?!? I love hand drawn icons.

Not sure that it really fits my blog style… but its something to think about
