Cleveland Boat Show 2010

We went to the Boat show today, at the IX center. Just looking around. It’s something we are thinking about…EVENTUALLY. But not anytime soon or anything. The boats were amazing!! AMAZING!
They had all kinds: fishing boats, speed boats, sail boats, and house boats. I was just amazed by the coolness of some of them.
It was really nice to get an idea of what kind of boat my hubby is interested in. I think we’ve decided that we want a 20 footer with just the basics.. not too many frills. And let me tell you, there can be a lot of frills. I think he likes the front end seating too… instead of cabin, because then you can fit more people on it. Sounds good to me I guess.

At least now, I have some concept of what he is talking about, and an idea of the kind of dough we will need to save if we are really serious about this and want to pay cash. Time to save save save.

There were some ridiculously expensive boats with just amazing luxurious cabins.

Insane right? You can’t see from this photo, but it had a full kitchen, dining area, and sofa like seating on the opposite side. Clearly not anything we’d ever be interested in, but still cool! I think this boat cost $109,000!

We also took a ride on the Ferris wheel. It was nice. All the times we’ve been to the IX Center, I’ve never ridden the wheel. It’s funny how when we initially went up, I suddenly got scared of heights and didn’t want to look down. But I got over that fast. It was a nice way to get a general feel for the layout of the show :)

As always, more photos on flickr.

Hope you all had a great weekend! Share your adventures in the comments ;)
